HemisFair Historic District: A Legacy of History and Progress

While many buildings were demolished to make way for the 92.6-acre HemisFair grounds, 24 historic structures were preserved, adding to the neighborhood’s rich historical significance.

The 622-foot Tower of the Americas, one of the tallest observation towers in the U.S., stands as a symbol of San Antonio’s forward-looking spirit.
